Privacy Policy

The short version

Every tool on MakeMyDev runs entirely in your browser. The text you type, the files you select, the data you paste — none of it is transmitted to our servers or any third party. We have no backend that receives your input. We cannot see what you process.

Data processing

All tool operations (formatting, encoding, decoding, validating, generating) execute as JavaScript in your browser tab. Input data stays in local memory for the duration of your session and is discarded when you close or navigate away from the page.

We do not store, log, cache, or transmit any data you enter into the tools. There is no server-side component that processes tool inputs. You can verify this by monitoring network requests in your browser's DevTools — you will not see outbound requests containing your data.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service, to understand which pages are visited and how often. It does not set cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. It records aggregate page views and referral sources — nothing more.

Analytics only load after you consent via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics script runs at all.

Cookies and local storage

MakeMyDev uses the following client-side storage:

• Theme preference — stored in localStorage so your light/dark mode choice persists between visits.
• Cookie consent — stored in localStorage to remember whether you accepted or declined analytics and ads.

We do not set any first-party tracking cookies. Third-party scripts (analytics, ads) only load after explicit consent.

Advertising

The site may display ads through Google AdSense to cover hosting costs. Ad scripts load only after you consent via the cookie banner. Google may set cookies in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not control or have access to the data Google collects through these ads.

Ads are placed below the tool interface and never interrupt or obstruct your workflow.

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log:

• Your IP address (standard web server logs)
• The pages you request
• Your browser's user agent string

These logs are managed by Vercel under their privacy policy. We do not actively access or process these logs.

Children's privacy

MakeMyDev is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Since we don't collect email addresses, we cannot notify you directly — check back periodically if you are concerned.
